Water Safety Ireland - Clare
Water Safety Ireland (WSI) is the statutory voluntary body established to promote water safety in Ireland. The organization rebranded from Irish Water Safety in late 2019.
Water Safety Ireland Clare exists to plan, promote & implement water safety activities in County Clare.
These activities include Water Safety classes, training of Beach & Pool Lifeguards, Instructors, Examiners, Cardiac First Responders, Rescue boat crew, Voluntary Surf Rescue Personnel & Surf Lifesaving competitors.
- The promotion of public awareness of water safety.
- The promotion of measures, including the advancement of education, related to the prevention of accidents in the aquatic environment.
- The provision of instruction in water safety, swimming, water rescue and Basic Life Support.
- Organisation and implementation of an annual water safety programme for the area and other such services relating to the promotion of water safety as the Council may from time time require or approve.
