Clare Water Safety

Irish Water Safety (IWS) is the statutory voluntary body established to promote water safety in Ireland. Irish Water Safety Clare exists to plan, promote and implement water safety activities within County Clare in accordance with our programme as approved by the council.

We aim to foster friendship and co-operation among those interested in the promotion of water safety nationwide.

Splash, Swim, Safety and/or Rescue classes are held in Ennis, Lahinch and Shannon pools during the year.

We also have a very busy summer schedule with classes being run in Flagmount, Mountshannon, Kilkee, Cappa pier in Kilrush, White Strand Doonbeg, White Strand Miltown Malbay, and Ballyvaughan pier.
